I remember this opening, it was so exciting but unfortunately a few of the movies didn't live up to the hype.

HALLOWEEN TV 1973 Odd Couple
This is just about the funniest episode of the Odd Couple where Felix hears something odd and is convinced the apartment is haunted. Victor Buono steals the show, as he did on every show he was on.

1974 KODIAK BRIEF ACTION/ADVENTURE SERIES THAT REPLACED BRADY BUNCH
Clint Walker played Cal “Kodiak”
McKay a state trooper stationed in the Alaska
wilderness. Kodiak has an Eskimo
sidekick called Abraham Lincoln Imhook and the pair track down violent
criminals.
This Alaska
adventure show did not last long at all. The pilot was aired in May, 1974 and
did well enough to be picked up for a fall series. However, once the pilot was
aired at it’s regular Friday timeslot it was cancelled immediately. This show
could not compete against the powerhouse Sandford and Son airing on NBC.
The show was filmed in Oregon and actually lasted 4 episodes, which
had already been filmed before the cancellation.
EPISODE LIST
Red Snow, White Death
Kodiak is aided in tracking down a killer by an old Eskimo
who just wants to journey to the mountains to die.
Death Chase
Kodiak chases after a girl and her boyfriend after her
father is murdered.
A Time To Die
A father wants to kill his son’s murderer and does not
Kodiak to bring the man to justice.
The Last Enemy
An old war buddy of Kodiak’s starting fighting an old war.

1960'S DETECTIVE SERIES MANNIX

This crime series aired on CBS from 1967 to 1975. The first season, Joe Mannix worked for a large detective agency, run by Lou Wickersham. This agency made extensive use of computers and Mannix didn't really fit into this environment.
Joe Mannix was a old school, tough guy PI and starting in the second season, Mannix was in a more appropriate environment, Mannix now worked out of a small ,one-man LA detective agency with his secretary, Peggy Fair, one of the few African Americans with a regular role on a TV series.
Mannix had regular contact with some police officers, who helped or hindered him on his cases. Mannix was a stoic character who got beat up every other episode. Joe Mannix, while not being a very handsome man, was a ladies man. The show was noted for lots of fights and car chases.
CAST
MIKE CONNORS AS JOE MANNIX
GAIL FISHER AS PEGGY FAIR
ROBERT REED AS ADAM TOBIAS (COP)
ARTHUR MALCOLM AS WARD WOOD (COP)
LARRY LINVILLE AS GEORGE KRAMER (COP)
MARK STEWART AS TOBY FAIR (COP)
JOSEPH CAMPENELLA AS LOU WICKERSHAM (SEASON ONE ONLY)
POOR, POOR PEGGY
Robert Bianco in the Pittsburgh Press newspaper had this to say about Mannix. I loved the "Who will kidnap Peggy this week " series. Why didn't he fire that woman? She was never at work, she was always causing trouble...By the end of the series, when they had run out story ideas, it seemed like someone was kidnapping her every week. That was all she did besides saying, "Here's your phone calls." That seemed to be her job description. Answer the phone and get kidnapped."
I think a more pertinent question, is why didn't she quit? Peggy was kidnapped quite a bit, you would think after the first or even second time she would have handed in her notice. But , no, Peggy stays and just keeps getting kidnapped.

SPACE 1999 CLASSIC SCI-FI SERIES
This British series was the last collaboration from the married team of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. They had previous success with science fiction shows using their process of supermarionation. The series were made with marionettes and had wonderful special effects and exciting story lines.
Now the team turned to science fiction using human actors. For their time, the special effects and models were wonderful. Now, of course, they look very dated. The computers were huge and the décor is awful. But in 1975, when the show debuted, this was considered an exciting show.
The series, unlike the Anderson’s earlier efforts, was meant to be a serious sci fi series for adults. It took 2 years for the series to be ready to air and was very expensive. The show was first show in Great Britain, but immediately it was syndicated in other countries, where it was an immediate success. The series was less successful in England and during the show, the creators ended their marriage. This lead to the cancellation of the show, which was going downhill in terms of quality, anyway. But some of the early episodes were very good and the series is worth a second look.
Moonbase Alpha is a thriving station on the moon with over 300 inhabitants. It has various uses, including serving as a base for space exploration and as a dumping ground for nuclear waste. As the pilot opens, there is a problem, some members of the crew are dying. The nuclear waste doesn’t appear to be the problem, but the doctor isn’t so sure.
Commander Koenig has just returned to take command of the station. Earth Command is only interested in getting an explorer ship off the base in time, but Koenig is worried about the deaths and investigates.
By the end of the episode the nuclear waste has exploded and torn the moon out of Earth’s orbit. The station is still intact, but the moon is travelling through space, cut off from Earth. Koenig doesn’t try to get back to Earth, believing there is not a realistic chance of them making it back alive. Moonbase Alpha is now on their own, off to new adventures and dangers and encounters with alien life.
CAST
Martin Landau as Commander John Koenig
Barbara Bain as Dr. Helena Russell
Barry Morse as Professor Victor Bergman
Nick Tate as Alan Carter
Zienia Merton as Sandra Benes
Prentis Hancock as Paul Morrow
Anoton Phillips as Dr. Bob Mathias
Clifton Jones as David Kano
Catherine Schell as Maya
Tony Anholt as Tony Verdeschi
Commander Koenig ran the station, Dr. Russell was head of the medical team and Bergman was the onboard scientist. My favorite character was Maya, who was introduced in the second season. She was an alien with the ability to shapeshift into any living creature.
